Hunger
What do you do when you are hungry?
Most people go to their fridge and grab anything they want. But have you ever thought of people who skipped a day without food? Liberia is one of the country our class did a project about. It is on the West African coast that is home to roughly 4.5 million people. Due to a recent civil war and outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus, the country has become vulnerable to poverty and hunger. “While the people of Liberia continue to face obstacles as they rebuild their country’s economy, continued international support and investment in education and infrastructure could help stabilize the country and reduce hunger”, ‘The Borgen Project' says. Unfortunately, like Liberia, many African countries are suffering from these issues. For me, thinking of helping them as a student is impractical but opening up my purse and donating some money to the poor in my community is practical. What about you? Watch the video below to learn ways to end this problem.
