How I Became AITIS 2017-18 Student Council President

Obama, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington all once were presidents of the United States of America. I wish I could be important like them so I could think of good things for everybody. Then a week after school started I got a chance to run for president at my school.
I still remember, it was after snack time, some of my friends were talking about the election. That day I spent lot of time thinking about the election, should I join or not. “Anyway, it is my last year here and if I don’t join I won’t have another chance to join,” I thought. So the next day I was running for president. Only a few of my classmate knew I was running for president, which wasn’t good. People make up their mind who to vote for long before the voting day. I decided to go talk to the students. That snack time, I gathered all my courage and went around the school asking people what do they want more in school. Most of the student promised they’ll vote for me but some just smiled and walked away. Then the pre- election rolled up. I was very nervous because most six graders were voting for Pinky, also a candidate for president, but looking on the bright side lots of students in grade five liked me. After lunchtime, there was a poster on the bulletin board announcing the candidates, I was so happy I was officially running for president. On the weekend, I spent lots of time finishing my poster and my speech.
After preparing for days, that day finally came. The day where all the candidates went classroom to classroom telling their speeches. The president was up first. Pinky went up first. When it was my turn, I felt like my heart was not working but after the speech, I wished I could do it again. In some classrooms, people cheered for me but in some people cheered for Pinky. When it was all over, I felt relieved and proud. A few days later, our class-counseling teacher called me and the other candidates. We were in a small office when she announced it: treasurer, sectary, representative, reporter, vice president and lastly president, when she announced it my heart skipped a beat. She called me. It was one of the happiest day in my life. I was the new president of AITIS.
I have much more responsibility and work but I’m going to try my best to be a good president.
How to Make a Christmas Gift
(with things you have at home)
A Step by Step Slideshow of a Christmas Water Bottle That I Made!
Step 1- Measure the green felt about half of you bottle.
Step 2- Use tape to stick it onto your bottle.
Step 3- Cut 3 small circles and 3 bigger ones.
Step 4- Cut out one red triangle felt for the Christmas hat. Cut four long triangles for the nose and a short piece of fuzzy wire to make the scarf.
Step 5- Draw the eyes for your snowman or snow woman (draw wacky eyes).
Step 6- Stick one big circle to a small one. Stick the two beads to the body (using a glue stick is way easier). Stick the nose and any accessory you want on it.
Step 7- Stick the snowman or snow women on the green felt.
Last but not least step 8- Put your friend's favorite candies inside, tie a bow around it.
And TA DA! We are done!
You can make not only Christmas items but many others like cat, robot or your friend's picture. Hope you have fun making it!

Watching Movies at Home VS Cinema

I love watching movies especially Disney ones. Finding Dory, Up, and Home are all great movies I have seen, but where should we watch them, at the cinema or at home? Let’s compare the two places and see which one is better.
You can wear comfortable clothes like PJs when you are at home.
Also you don’t need to waste time getting to the cinema, you can just open your TV or computer and watch it.
You can watch it as many times as you want and have breaks whenever you like.
The main reason why some people don’t go to cinema is because they don’t have to pay any money if they watch it at home.
However, watching movies at home doesn't give you that good quality. In the theater the screen is biggerr, the sound is louder and the picture is clearer.
Cinemas also have lots of food which is convenient when you are hungry in the middle of a film.
You can also watch a movie as soon as it comes out because it would take weeks or even months before it will be uploaded on youtube.
Cinema tickets are expensive but considering its benefits it's not that much.
There is one thing though, that I really don't like about cinema which is the ads they show before the movie starts, it will take a minimum of ten minutes.
I would prefer watching movies at home but I won’t stop going to the cinema either to watch some of my favorite films.

I've been reading lots of blogs and here are some of the most interesting ones for me!
This first one is my absolute favorite. If you have seen my "My Interest" post you will know I love taking photos too and in her blog there is always something about photography.
The second blog is quite different from the other two. It is short and simply. Did I mention her home page picture looks incredible.
The third blog caught my eyes just by this post below.
Flower! I love flower even my blog name is a flower. Her blog has more things beside flowers there is also "A day in my Life" post which is really fun to read.

Would you rather be famous when you are alive and forgotten when you die or unknown when you are alive but famous after you die?
Would you rather live in the wilderness far from civilization or live on the streets of a city as a homeless person?
Would you rather live your entire life in a virtual reality where all your wishes are granted or in the real world?
Would you rather be alone for the rest of your life or always be surrounded by annoying people?
Would you rather have an easy job working for someone else or work for yourself but work incredibly hard?

Close your Eyes
Daddy, why can’t I sleep?
Because you need to drink a cup of coco.
Daddy, why can’t I sleep?
Because you haven't counted enough sheep.
Daddy, why can’t I sleep?
Because you are not reading a boring book.
Daddy, why can’t I sleep?.
Well then… try closing your eyes.

There once was a man who loved pizza.
It made him want to shout mama mia!
He ate it everywhere,
Under a table or on a chair.
And he finished it off with a bottle of cola.
