Inventions that changed the WorldWe have invented lots of things like self-driving cars, medicines and rockets. But it all started thousands of years ago when some of the most basic things helped us build what we have now. In this essay I am going to list down some inventions that have changed the world. Image credit: Flickr The wheel - The wheel was invented by the Mesopotamians in 3500 BC. It was just made out of wood with a hole in the middle. Mesopotamians had built the wheel to put on chariots for war. From time to time, people thought of more uses for the wheel, like turning it to farming tools. Thanks to the wheel, humans can transport and trade goods easily. Just look around you, there are wheels everywhere, on cars, bikes, trucks… Image credit: Flickr The compass- Compass was invented by Chinese around 1050 BC. It was first made of lodestone and iron ore. You may think compasses are useless now because we have GPS but just think a few thousand years back. You would get lost in an instant in sea if you didn’t use a compass. Image credit: Flickr Fire - Fire marked a revolution in the page of history. The earliest evidence of fire is about 1.9 million years ago. If someone did not accidentally create fire we would still be eating raw food. Fire is everything, it helped us stay warm, cook food and a lot more.
Some of the simplest things you use every day has helped human kind to grow over thousands of years. Please comment down below if you have ever invented or want to invent something.
